About WSEI
West Suburban Early Intervention (WSEI) is a central intake system that takes the initial referrals for children birth to 3 that may have developmental concerns or a medical diagnosis that affects development.
We coordinate services from the following agencies:

WSEI fulfills one of the mandates of MN state law for the West Suburban Interagency Early Intervention Committee (WSIEIC). We are an action oriented group of people collaborating to assure that the needs of young children with special needs and their families are met.
Our Mission:
WSIEIC in partnership with families is committed to supporting the development of an effective early childhood care and education system for all children to assure that the needs of young children with disabilities and their families are met.
Guiding Principles:
- Children and families are the first and most important consideration in all WSIEIC activities.
- Services will be respectful of family diversity and priorities as well as individualized and strength based.
- All participants in the interagency early childhood intervention program understand their own roles and responsibilities as well as the roles and responsibilities of others.
- All participants practice a shared responsibility and accountability to communicate, educate and connect with one another.
- Collaboration occurs around an articulated and shared vision and purpose.
