Screening
What’s in a Screening? An appointment will be made to visit you at your home at a time when your child is typically playful and happy. This Home Visit will include:
- Parent Interview
- Health history
- Observation of play
We will check your child’s development compared to other children.
- Cognition: thinking, learning and play skills
- Communication: understanding language and talking
- Gross & Fine Motor skills: how your child uses their body, head, arms & legs; their positions and movements
- Social & Emotional Development: looking at how your child is developing self regulation skills, handling emotions, paying attention, cooperating with others, transitioning between activities, etc.
- Self Care: eating, dressing, etc.
**A decision is made whether further evaluation is needed.
We can share information on community resources.
