Screening

What’s in a Screening? An appointment will be made to visit you at your home at a time when your child is typically playful and happy. This Home Visit will include:

    • Parent Interview
    • Health history
    • Observation of play

We will check your child’s development compared to other children.

    • Cognition: thinking, learning and play skills
    • Communication: understanding language and talking
    • Gross & Fine Motor skills: how your child uses their body, head, arms & legs; their positions and movements
    • Social & Emotional Development: looking at how your child is developing self regulation skills, handling emotions, paying attention, cooperating with others, transitioning between activities, etc.
    • Self Care: eating, dressing, etc.

**A decision is made whether further evaluation is needed.

We can share information on community resources.
